We've got all the latest Sens' pre-game news and notes from Nashville before tonight's 8 p.m. start against the Predators.

Line-up notes

Sens head coach D.J. Smith just met with the media in Nashville and shared a few updates regarding his ine-up tonight against the Predators. For starters, the coach confirmed that Bobby Ryan will return to action for the first time since entering the NHL/NHLPA player assistance program back in November. Ryan last played on Nov. 16th against the Buffalo Sabres but has since taken some big steps in tackling some of the personal issues that he has been dealing with over the past few years so it should be exciting to see how the long-time Senator's new life changes could impact his production on the ice as well as his quality of life away from the rink.

Also up front, both Anthony Duclair and Colin White won't play tonight after suffering injuries against the Blue Jackets last night. Filip Chlapik, who has appeared in 30 games for the Senators this season, has been recalled from Belleville as a result and will suit up in Nashville.
The coach also confirmed that Craig Anderson (9-14-2) will get the nod in net tonight for the Senators. Anderson is 2-1-0 in his last 3 starts where he holds a .903 sv% over that span.

Previous meeting

Rewind back to Dec. 19th where the Sens scored a 5-4 overtime victory over the Predators at Canadian Tire Centre. Five different Senators found the back of the net against Nashville including Anthony Duclair who fired his 20th goal of the season past Juuse Saros to clinch the win in extra time. Marcus Hogberg turned aside 33 of the 37 shots he faced to earn his first career NHL victory.
"It was amazing," said Hogberg after the game. "I was really happy in that moment. Really happy. ... I just said to myself, 'Just be patient.' I tried to play my game and just focus on the next save. Today, it was my first win, so I'm really happy about that."
