The Sens wrap up their 4-game roadie today against the Ducks today at 4 p.m. and we've got 5 things you need to know before the puck drops in Anaheim.

1. Starting Goalies

It's back-to-back starts for Mike Condon who finds himself back in between the pipes after dropping a 4-1 decision to the Kings yesterday. While Condon didn't face a barrage of shots against Los Angeles it was their effeciency on the power play (3 for 4) that comprised the bulk of his workload. Condon' record on the season sits at 4-2-1.

At the other end of the rink, it looks like John Gibson will start for the Ducks. Gibson is 9-7-4 this season for Anaheim but has been heating up lately earning 3 wins in his last 4 starts.

2. Projected line-up

We've got a few line-up changes coming for today's game in Anaheim starting with the league's leading hitter Mark Borowiecki who will be out the next two games after earning a suspension on a hit yesterday against the Kings. As a result, Andreas Englund subs in his spot today. As we mentioned yesterday, Phil Varone does check in to today's line-up i place of Buddy Robinson. The coach spoke about using Varone during one of the weekend games after his mid-week recall so it's not much a surprise to see Varone inserted into the forward group today.

Sometimes looking back isn't always the most fun, as is the case today when we rewind back to March 26th, 2016 when the Sens blew a 3-0 third period lead against the Ducks and came out on the wrong end of a 4-3 final in overtime. Hoffman, Karlsson and Neil all scored for the Sens in defeat and if for whatever reason you feel like reliving that game, here you go...

4. On the pond

It doesn't happen often so I thought I'd look up the Sens historical success in Anaheim against the Ducks franchise. Turns out, it's not great. All-time the Sens are 5-8-2-0 in Anaheim and trail in pretty much every major category. But here's the thing, the Sens didn't earn their first win on the road against the Ducks until January 12th, 2000 which is 6+ years since that franchise was even founded. So more recently the numbers are much closer (5-5-0 since Y2K).
Looking on the individual side of things, Daniel Alfredsson is the team's all-time leading scorer in Anaheim with 9 points (2G + 7A) in 10 games played. As far as active players go, then look no further than former Duck Bobby Ryan who has a pair of points (1G + 1A) in 3 games with the Sens in Anaheim.
