ABOUT THE 'YOTES:
• The Coyotes, who were based in Winnipeg from 1979-96, will enter the game seeking their first victory at Winnipeg since the Jets returned to the NHL in 2011-12. Arizona is 0-7-2 in nine games played in its former home city.
• Arizona has taken at least 30 shots on goal in all of its first six games and ranks fourth in the NHL in shots per game with 34.8.

He's the only active NHL netminder, and the first goalie in franchise history, to go 16 straight games allowing three goals or less. However, Raanta has struggled vs. Winnipeg in his career. He's 1-3-0 with a 2.94 goals-against average and a .860 save percentage in five career games vs. the Jets.

"He's close," Head Coach Rick Tocchet said. "He's working on his game here and starting to feel a little bit stronger. Really, it's his decision. I want to make sure he's 100 percent in his mind to play and he's close."

Dustin Byfuglien will enter the game two points shy of 500 for his NHL career.

Tocchet: 'No Weakness' in WPG

'YOTES QUOTES:
• "I don't know if (the Jets) have any weaknesses. They've got balanced lines, they've got high-end players, and their defense is one of the best. So, you've got to be on your game. To beat Winnipeg, to compete with them ... you can't have four or five guys not engaged. That's the message to our guys. We need everybody to pull their weight against this hockey club." -- Rick Tocchet
• "They always come out hard here and try to get over you in the first five, 10 minutes, so starting (well) is going to be important. We're going to have to be ready from the beginning. It's going to be a good test for us. I hope we can build off that win (at Chicago)." -- Oliver Ekman-Larsson
• "They're a big, strong team and obviously they have a lot of skill up front. Their top two lines are very elite so we've got to play the same way. We've got to play tight, and play together as a five-man unit all over the ice and shut them down as best as we can." -- Lawson Crouse
