"I think it's been different things [contributing to our winning streak]," Crosby said. "Our goaltending for sure. We don't win these games without some of the big saves these guys have been making. We still need to improve I think, but our mentality and we're doing a better job of keeping it simple and not forcing things."

Kessel deflected Crosby's shot with 21 seconds left in the period for a 2-1 lead. Kessel has 10 points (three goals, seven assists) in a four-game point streak.
"[Kessel's] making plays," Penguins coach Mike Sullivan said. "Phil's a really good offensive player. He has good instincts. When he has some time and space, he's as good a playmaker as there is in the League, and he can shoot the puck, as well, himself. ... We're trying to put him in offensive situations to allow him to play to his strengths."
Riley Sheahan made it 3-1 with a wrist shot at 10:19 of the second period.
Zach Parise got the Wild within 3-2 with 4:05 remaining. The Wild have scored 10 goals in their past seven games.
"It's really frustrating for us as a group," Parise said. "You can probably recycle the same stuff we've said postgame for the last two, three weeks. Just we're not converting. That's the story right now."

They said it

"[Kessel] passes pretty hard, so you [have to] be ready. You see on the power-play goal there, I don't know how he got it through, it was an unbelievable pass. When he's got the puck, you have to be ready at all times, so, yeah, he made it easy on me there." -- Penguins forward Sidney Crosby
"It gets old. We're all competitive and used to winning in here, so you don't want to sit here and say over and over that we played well and had chances and made a good effort. But that's the case. A little bit of puck luck on the wrong side of it tonight. It's a one-goal lead, so it was a pretty even game other than that." -- Wild goalie Devan Dubnyk
