Crosby out of All-Star Skills because of illness

Penguins center expects to play in All-Star Game

Sidney Crosby will not take part in the 2019 SAP NHL All-Star Skills at SAP Center on Friday (9 p.m. ET; NBCSN, CBC, SN, TVAS) because of illness.

The Pittsburgh Penguins center plans on playing in the 2019 Honda NHL All-Star Game on Saturday (8 p.m. ET; NBC, CBC, SN, TVAS).
The 31-year-old is one of two players from the Penguins set to play for the Metropolitan Division, joining defenseman Kris Letang.
