There are 11 games on the NHL schedule for Tuesday. Here are five things to watch, along with the complete game schedule.

Hot 97s

The NHL’s leading goal-scorer will face the League’s leading point-producer when the Minnesota Wild visit the Edmonton Oilers (9 p.m. ET; TVAS, SNW, MINNHL, Wild+). Wild forward Kirill Kaprizov leads the NHL with 10 goals in nine games. Connor McDavid leads the NHL with 23 points and can become the sixth player in NHL history with 25 points before his 10th game in a season. The others: Mario Lemieux (three times, including 33 points in 1988-89), Mike Bossy (28 in 1984-85), Wayne Gretzky (two times, including 27 in 1984-85), Brent Sutter (25 in 1984-85) and Marcel Dionne (25 in 1979-80). McDavid has had at least two points in six of his eight games this season.

Kucherov goes for Lightning record

Nikita Kucherov needs four points to pass Steven Stamkos for the most in Tampa Bay Lightning history. He has 1,134 points (404 goals, 730 assists) in 887 games for Tampa Bay. Stamkos had 1,137 points (555 goals, 582 assists) in 1,082 games for the Lightning from 2008-24. Can Kucherov do it at the Vegas Golden Knights (10:30 p.m. ET; ESPN, SN+)? Well, he has produced four points in a game 42 times, already the most in Lightning history, and has had a point in each of his 42 games against the Golden Knights. The only players with a longer active point streak against an opponent are Leon Draisaitl (20 games against the Chicago Blackhawks), McDavid (18 against the Nashville Predators), Matthew Tkachuk (15 against the Columbus Blue Jackets) and Artemi Panarin (15 against the Montreal Canadiens).

Ovechkin chasing Backstrom

Alex Ovechkin needs two assists to reach 763 and pass Nicklas Backstrom for the most in Washington Capitals history entering their game against the Los Angeles Kings (7 p.m. ET; ABTV, MNMT). Ovechkin has an assist in each of his past two games. In his final NHL season, the 41-year-old Russian can become the fourth player born outside North America to lead a franchise in goals, assists and points, after Aleksander Barkov (Florida Panthers), Patrik Elias (New Jersey Devils) and Daniel Alfredsson (Ottawa Senators). Ovechkin is already the Capitals’ all-time leader in goals (930) and points (1,691). He ranks first and 10th in NHL history in those categories, respectively.

You don’t know Jack

Jack Eichel has 18 points (five goals, 13 assists) in 10 games for the Golden Knights, putting him second in NHL scoring behind McDavid. Vegas (8-2-0) leads the NHL standings with 16 points. Eichel, a native of North Chelmsford, Massachusetts, had 19 points (eight goals, 11 assists) through his first 10 games last season. The only other U.S.-born player to have as many points through 10 games multiple times is Keven Stevens, who had 26 points in 1992-93 and 19 in 1990-91.

Here’s to you, Mr. Robertson

Jason Robertson needs three points to reach 500 for the Dallas Stars, who host the Boston Bruins (8 p.m. ET; ESPN, SN+). The forward has 497 points (216 goals, 281 assists) in 464 NHL games, including seven points (three goals, four assists) in eight games this season. He can become the fifth player in Stars history to reach 500 points in fewer than 500 games, joining Neal Broten (461 games), Bobby Smith (463), Dino Ciccarelli (465) and Mike Modano (489). The native of Arcadia, California, can become the seventh-fastest U.S. born player to reach 500 points, after Jeremy Roenick (430 games), Kevin Stevens (431), Craig Janney (435), Auston Matthews (445), Joe Mullen (446) and Broten (461).
