Best moment: Murray, who needed a big-time performance after watching Game 5 from the bench, made arguably his best save 45 seconds into the second period, with the Penguins leading 1-0. He was in position with his glove out to rob Lightning forward Ryan Callahan of a goal on a redirection of Valtteri Filppula's pass from the right-wing half wall. Murray's glove was positioned perfectly and Callahan's redirection went into the webbing. Murray looked a bit shaky despite making four saves on four shots in the first period, but that save on Callahan appeared to right him. He was sharper for the rest of the game.
Vasilevskiy's most important save wasn't incredibly difficult as much as it was timely. He stopped Penguins forward Carl Hagelin on the rush at 14:08 of the third period, 1:25 after Brian Boyle scored his second goal to make it 3-2. The rush happened because the Lightning turned the puck over in the neutral zone; Penguins forward Phil Kessel got it and fed Hagelin for the chance. The save preserved the Lightning's chances at finishing off the comeback, but a breakaway goal by Bryan Rust at 17:52 ended them.
