"Losing streaks are going to happen throughout seasons and it's how you respond to them," Kings defenseman Jake Muzzin said. "We've got to respond."
The Ducks (22-16-9) took a 2-1 lead on Kesler's goal at 12:21.
Jakob Silfverberg won the puck on the forecheck, passed out to Andrew Cogliano along the wall and he fed defenseman Francois Beauchemin in the middle. His shot from just inside the blue line was deflected by Kesler past Kings goaltender Jonathan Quick.
"I thought we had a good third [period]. I thought we came real hard," Cogliano said. "[Silfverberg] made a good forecheck and was able to intercept a pass, and a good tip-in by Kesler."
Quick, starting back-to-back games for the first time this season, made 29 saves. He allowed three goals on 31 shots in a 3-1 loss against the visiting Pittsburgh Penguins on Thursday.
Henrique gave the Ducks a 1-0 lead at 2:05.

Henrique started the play by getting around Kings forward Nicholas Shore at the Los Angeles blue line. He skated into the corner, where the puck caromed out to Ondrej Kase, who turned and shot. The puck hit the skate of Kings defenseman Kevin Gravel and went to the side of the net, where Henrique outbattled Christian Folin for the puck and it crossed the line before Quick could reach back and cover it.
The Kings tied it 1-1 when Iafallo scored off a rebound at 4:48. Muzzin took a shot through traffic from the left point and Iafallo lifted the rebound over Gibson's outstretched right pad.
Quick was busy in the first period when the Kings were outshot 17-5. The Ducks had a 13-1 edge just before the halfway point of the period.
The shots evened out in the second period, but Anaheim had more scoring chances.
Ducks defenseman Brandon Montour drew a hooking penalty on Derek Forbort, and Anaheim went on its second power play at 9:12 of the second period. Quick made a save on Ryan Getzlaf, but the rebound came out diagonally to Rickard Rakell. He had an open net, but his shot hit the inside of the left post, skidded across the goal line and hit the right post before caroming back out.
On the same power play, Quick slowed a shot by Henrique, but the puck got behind him and was sliding toward the goal line when Folin stopped it with his blade in time for Quick to reach back and cover it.
The Kings had their best scoring opportunity in the first two periods when Iafallo's shot hit the left post at 16:50 of the second period, just before Cogliano was called for hooking Iafallo.
Cogliano was making his return from a two-game suspension for an interference penalty against the Kings on Saturday. The suspension ended a streak of 830 consecutive NHL games.
"This was probably one of the tougher parts of my career, but that evened it out for me in terms of support," Cogliano said.
