Jordan Kyrou is going to be wearing a Blue Note a long time.
On Tuesday, Kyrou signed a new eight-year contract extension with the St. Louis Blues.
The deal - which features the same term and financials of the
contract Robert Thomas signed in July
- is worth $65 million ($8.125 AAV) and will begin with the 2023-24 season, keeping Kyrou in St. Louis through 2030-31.
"We're playing for today and building for the future, and having those two guys signed is the cornerstone of what we're trying to accomplish moving forward," Blues General Manager Doug Armstrong said. "It's great news for the organization."

"I'm so thankful to the Blues organization for putting their trust in me and giving me the opportunity to wear the Blue Note for the forseeable future," Kyrou told stlouisblues.com. "Being able to call St. Louis my home is amazing. I can't say enough about how much I love the city. And to the best fans in the League, I can't thank you enough for always showing me love and support."
Kyrou had a breakout season in 2021-22, posting 75 points (27 goals, 48 assists) in 74 regular-season games. He finished fourth on the team in points, third in goals and second in assists.

His performance in the first half of last season earned him a place at the 2022 NHL All-Star Weekend in Las Vegas, where he captured the League's Fastest Skater title by completing a lap in 13.55 seconds to finish ahead of three-time winner Connor McDavid of the Edmonton Oilers. He then netted two goals and three assists in the All-Star 3-on-3 division tournament.
In the 2022 Stanley Cup Playoffs, Kyrou ranked second on the club with seven goals in 12 postseason appearances.
Overall, Kyrou has amassed 122 points (46 goals, 76 assists) in his NHL career, which has spanned 173 regular-season games.
"It's pretty incredible," Kyrou said of finalizing the new extension. "This is something you work your whole life for and to finally get this (long-term deal) done feels amazing. It's a very special moment for me and my family."
