Radko Gudas got to meet Radko the crime-fighting German shepherd.

The Philadelphia Flyers defenseman had a unique visitor after practice Wednesday: an 18-month-old, 75-pound dog from the Berlin Police Department in New Jersey who shares Gudas' name.

Like Gudas, the dog is from the Czech Republic. He joined the South Jersey town's police force as its first dog in April. Patrolman Steven Palma named him Radko not only because of the dog's heritage, but his physicality and style of play. Palma, a Flyers partial season ticket holder, was one of three Berlin patrolmen who joined Radko at the meet-and-greet at Philadelphia's practice facility in Voorhees, New Jersey.

Besides meeting his namesake, Radko also met Gudas' daughter Leontynka and received a Flyers cape with his name and the No. 3 on the back, and a large bone. He also appeared to be a good boy throughout the interaction.
