A year after a Vincent Viola-owned horse hit the winner circle at the Kentucky Derby, the Florida Panthers joined the team's owner in their best eye-catching outfits.
The Panthers received the VIP treatment Saturday, making their way onto the track and escorting the thoroughbred to the starting gate before the 12th race. The Panthers were caught in some difficult weather conditions as rain soaked the party-like atmosphere, but they found some ponchos to help keep them dry.
Viola's horse Always Dreaming won the Kentucky Derby in 2017. Vino Rosso finished in ninth place in the 20-horse field. Justify, the pre-race favorite, was the winner.
