Janmark DAL-CHI

CHICAGO -- Mattias Janmark scored his second goal of the game 51 seconds into overtime to give the Dallas Stars a 4-3 win against the Chicago Blackhawks at United Center on Thursday.
Janmark gathered the puck in the neutral zone, skated past defenseman Duncan Keith and beat goalie Corey Crawford to the short side to lift the Stars to their third straight victory.

"Winning two in a row on the road is important," Janmark said, referring to a 3-0 win at the Vegas Golden Knights on Tuesday. "I think we're finding our ways to win games the right way both home and away, so it's a big win and we know playing these guys, these are big games, especially Chicago."

Patrick Kane tipped Gustav Forsling's shot from the point past goalie Ben Bishop at 4:34 of the third period to tie the game 3-3.
The Stars took the lead for the third time when Remi Elie scored at 14:04 of the second period to make it 3-2.

"I was just trying to fake [Crawford] out before I shot it, and I got him biting, so I put it in," Elie said.
Artem Anisimov scored on the power play for his Blackhawks-leading 12th goal 1:02 into the second when he beat Bishop off a pass from Kane to tie it 2-2.
Chicago was 1-for-7 on the power play.
"We found ways before to lose, and tonight we faced a lot of penalties," Seguin said. "Timely penalties, too, especially in the third period. We had some good kills."
Radek Faksa, who had his first NHL hat trick Tuesday, scored on a penalty shot to put Dallas ahead 2-1 with 2:40 remaining in the first period after Kane was called for hooking him on a shorthanded breakaway.
"I think you can probably see the replay on calling the penalty shot, it looked like I just lifted his stick," Kane said. "But we had our fair share of chances on the power play, so we're not going to blame that. We should have done better on the power play and probably wouldn't have even went to overtime there."
Janmark scored on a wraparound at 14:46 of the first to put the Stars up 1-0, but nine seconds later, Alex DeBrincat scored his 11th goal of the season, fourth in three games, to tie it 1-1.

"This is their building, they're a really good team, they obviously had the response they needed to have," Stars coach Ken Hitchcock said. "We pushed back. This is a tough building to play in, tough building to win games in, and we're really happy to take two (points) out of here."

They said it

"They gave us a push. They gave us a huge push in the second period, we answered back. They gave us a huge push at the start of the third, we answered back. We had lots of scoring chances in the third period, and hopefully on Saturday night we bury those, but I was really happy with our response." -- Stars coach Ken Hitchcock
"Power play wasn't very good tonight. Basically, (Dallas) scored a shorty with the penalty shot. We scored one, but we didn't generate enough when we were out there, whether it was shooting in the lanes and we had net-front presence there, we just didn't get it through when it was the opportune time. We lost momentum on our power play tonight." -- Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville on their power play, which was 1-for-7
