Kyle Davidson kept his good luck charms on hand for the NHL Draft Lottery.

The Chicago Blackhawks general manager wrote the names of his two daughters, Willa and Emmy, on his hand before the lottery on Monday.

His daughter Willa is four months old and his daughter Emmy was lost midway through pregnancy in 2021.

The girls brought good fortune to the Blackhawks who

won the No. 1 pick in the 2023 NHL Draft.

Chicago had the third best odds to win the lottery. They beat out the Columbus Blue Jackets and Anaheim Ducks to land the pick.
