Mike Green 2.28

Mike Green will be out 3-4 weeks for the Edmonton Oilers with a sprained MCL.

The defenseman was injured Wednesday during a 3-0 loss at the Vegas Golden Knights. It was his second game since being traded to the Oilers by the Detroit Red Wings on Monday for forward Kyle Brodziak and a conditional fourth-round pick in the 2020 NHL Draft or 2021 NHL Draft.
Green had 11 points (three goals, eight assists) in 48 games with the Red Wings and had no points in his two games with the Oilers.
The Oilers (33-23-8) host the Winnipeg Jets at Rogers Place on Saturday (10 p.m. ET; CBC, SN, SN360, SN1, CITY, NHL.TV). Edmonton is tied with the Vancouver Canucks for second place in the Pacific Division, four points behind the Golden Knights.
Green has 501 points (150 goals, 351 assists) in 880 regular-season games with the Washington Capitals, Red Wings and Oilers, and 37 points (10 goals, 27 assists) in 76 Stanley Cup Playoff games. He is a two-time NHL First-Team All Star (2008-09, 2009-10) and was a Norris Trophy finalist for the NHL's top defenseman in each of those seasons.
