Corey Crawford made 38 saves for the Chicago Blackhawks in a 1-0 win against the Boston Bruins at United Center. 

Patrick Sharp scored on the power play 11:13 into the third period for the Blackhawks, who finished the preseason 4-2-0 and open the regular season Oct. 5 against the Pittsburgh Penguins. 

Anton Khudobin made 35 saves for the Bruins, who finished the preseason 4-3-0 and open the regular season Oct. 5 against the Nashville Predators.
