TAMPA BAY - Tampa Bay Sports & Entertainment (TBSE), parent company of the Tampa Bay Lightning and AMALIE Arena, Tampa Bay Entertainment Properties (TBEP), The Identity Tampa Bay and marketing rightsholder for University of South Florida Athletics and Yuengling Center, announced today a comprehensive list of new and renewed best-in-brand corporate partners for the 2018-19 fiscal year. The partnership list comprises every key sports and entertainment sponsor category, its growth reflective of the new properties represented by TBSE in 2018-19.

"We are proud to have these new and renewed partners for great seasons of Lightning hockey and University of South Florida Athletics," said Jarrod Dillon, Chief Revenue Officer of Tampa Bay Sports and Entertainment. "We thank our newest partners for electing to join the greater TBSE family. We will work hard to overdeliver on our pledges to every one of our partners, with a focus on achieving their individual goals in activation, branding and customer service."
An entity controlled by Jeff Vinik, Tampa Bay Sports & Entertainment (TBSE) was created in 2010 as the holding company to manage the Lightning and the leasehold rights to AMALIE Arena. In the spring of 2017, TBSE created Tampa Bay Entertainment Properties (TBEP) and signed two separate agreements with the University of South Florida, the first to manage and operate the USF Sun Dome (now named the Yuengling Center) and the second to sell and activate multimedia rights for USF Athletics. The Identity Tampa Bay, a full-service digital network (theidentitytb.com), commenced operations in March 2018 to act as a sports and lifestyle hub for all things Tampa Bay. Each of these properties is now represented in the sports and entertainment marketplace by the global sales and activation team at TBSE.
"2018-19 marks the first season we can integrate partners throughout the expanded portfolio of TBSE's sports and entertainment properties, providing national, regional and local brands a full-menu of diverse sponsorship, activation and media assets geared towards driving impressions, engagement and return on marketing objectives," said Mike Harrison, Vice President of Partnership Development and Activation.
More than 70 percent of the partners new to USF Athletics and 90% of the partners new to The Identity Tampa Bay in 2018-19 are companies that were first affiliated with the Lightning and AMALIE Arena. These companies chose to extend their reach and marketing platforms through the new properties.
Highlighted agreements include season presenting partnerships secured by Advent Health (2018-19 Tampa Bay Lightning), Valley National Bank (2018 USF Football) and Center State Bank (2018-19 USF Men's and Women's Basketball) and the multi-year commitment made by Heritage Insurance to become the latest Championship Partner of the Lightning, a designation representative of the highest level of partnership at Tampa Bay Sports and Entertainment.
Additionally, the Lightning, working in conjunction with the NHL, were able to make available four new in-ice logo positions at AMALIE Arena beginning with the 2018-19 season. They were secured (two positions each) by existing partners Heritage Insurance and Tampa General Hospital.
