Anders Lee was voted the 2016-17 Bob Nystrom Award winner by the fans ahead of Sunday's regular-season finale.
The Bob Nystrom Award is given annually to the player that best represents leadership, hustle and dedication. Lee scored a career-high 33 goals this season and was the Islanders' primary net-front presence, taking the requisite punishment that comes with the job.

Lee's willingness to go to the net, his career-high 51 points and his ability to step up in the absence of John Tavares late in the season embody the qualities of the award.
This is Lee's first Bob Nystrom Award. Matt Martin had won the previous five.
