VEGAS (March 5, 2022) - Vegas Golden Knights General Manager Kelly McCrimmon announced today, March 5, that the team has signed defenseman Ben Hutton to a two-year contract extension worth $850,000.

Hutton has appeared in 35 games during the 2021-22 campaign with the Golden Knights since signing as a free agent on October 28. Last season, the defenseman split time between the Anaheim Ducks and the Toronto Maple Leafs, finishing with five points (1 G, 4 A) in 38 games. Prior to his time in Anaheim, he spent one year with the Los Angeles Kings (2019-20) and four seasons with the Vancouver Canucks (2015-19). Prior to his professional career, Hutton played collegiately at the University of Maine and was named to the All-Hockey East First Team following the 2013-14 season. He helped lead Canada to a gold medal during the 2016 IIHF World Championship.
The Brockville, Ontario native was a fifth-round selection (147th overall) by the Vancouver Canucks in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.
