Vegas plays its first regular-season game against the Arizona Coyotes on October 10

VEGAS (October 9, 2017) -  Listed below is the Vegas Golden Knights weeklong media schedule of events surrounding the team's inaugural home opener October 10 against the Arizona Coyotes.

We strongly encourage fans and media to arrive early on Tuesday in order to ensure an enjoyable game day experience. The Media Entrance will open at 3 p.m. PT.

Practice Schedule

Tuesday, October 10 (City National Arena/T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas, NV)

-Vegas Golden Knights morning skate (City National Arena, Summerlin Hospital Rink), 10:30 a.m. PT

-Players available to media after morning skate

-Head Coach Gerard Gallant available after players

-Arizona Coyotes morning skate (T-Mobile Arena), 11:00 a.m. PT. For media availability regarding Arizona's morning skate please contact Arizona PR.

-Inaugural home opener vs Arizona Coyotes at T-Mobile Arena, 7:30 p.m. PT

NHL CENTENNIAL FAN ARENA - OPENS OCTOBER 10 AT 2 P.M. AT TOSHIBA PLACA

The NHL Centennial Fan Arena will be stationed in Toshiba Plaza from 2-10 p.m. PT on October 10 and 2-7 p.m. PT on October 11 to celebrate the Golden Knights inaugural home opener and centennial year of the NHL. Please note that from 3-5 p.m. PT on October 11, the Fan Arena will be closed to the public. The Fan Arena will then move to Fremont Street where it will be stationed from 4 p.m.-midnight on October 13 and noon-5 p.m. on October 14.

The interactive fan experience honors extraordinary players, teams, and unforgettable moments with an innovative museum, original video content, a first-of-its-kind virtual reality game, and features the most revered trophy in sports - the Stanley Cup®. It will also feature a street hockey rink and other fun, interactive activities, including the Stanley Cup® starting Wednesday . The event will be free and open to the public.

 

GOLD CARPET (OCTOBER 10, 3:30 P.M.)

Fans will be able to witness Golden Knights players, coaches and management arriving at T-Mobile Arena and walking a gold carpet ahead of the team's inaugural home game. The gold carpet will start at Toshiba Plaza going into T-Mobile Arena, with arrivals starting at 3:30 p.m. PT. All fans are welcome to join the festivities.
 

Television talent and photographers are welcome on the carpet for select interviews. Media interested in attending must RSVP to Alyssa Girardi (agirardi@vegasgoldenknights.com) at least 24 hours ahead of time. One-on-one interviews will not be available to print outlets during this portion of the day's activities.
 

Please note that not every player will be available for every outlet. The Golden Knights Communications Staff will look to fulfill as many requests as possible.

 

OPENING NIGHT MARCH TO T-MOBILE ARENA (OCTOBER 10, 4:45 P.M.)

To celebrate the T-Mobile Arena doors opening for the Golden Knights inaugural home opener, there will be a fan march from New York-New York Hotel to the front doors of the arena. The march, which will feature special fan engagement activities, will start underneath the Brooklyn Bridge at 4:45 p.m. PT and conclude at Toshiba Plaza for a brief ceremony before the doors open at 5 p.m.

 

NATIONAL ANTHEM

The national anthem at Tuesday's game will be led by a member of the Route 91 Harvest Festival Team, the music festival that was the site of Sunday's tragic shooting. He will be joined in by 14 other members of the Harvest Festival Team, all of whom were at the event on Sunday and acted with great courage helping those injured and assisting first responders with their efforts.

 

INTERMISSION

Cirque du Soleil will perform during the first intermission.

Route 607 -Centennial Hills Golden Knights Express

-Starting Point: Centennial Hills Transit Center and Park & Ride (7313 Grand Montecito Pkwy., Las Vegas, NV 89149)

-Departure Times Prior to Game Start: Two hours and five minutes; one hour and 45 minutes; and one hour and 25 minutes

-Estimated length of ride: 45 minutes

 

Route 608 -Southwest Golden Knights Express

-Starting Point: Born and Raised Las Vegas (7260 S. Cimarron Road, Las Vegas, NV 89113)

-Departure Times Prior to Game Start: One hour and 50 minutes; one hour and 30 minutes; and one hour and 10 minutes

-Estimated length of ride: 30 minutes
