The Philadelphia Flyers will be on center stage to begin the 2020-21 season when they take on the Pittsburgh Penguins in a national telecast on the NBC Sports Network on Wednesday, Jan. 13. The 5:30 PM contest between the in-state rivals will be the opening game of the National Hockey League season and the first of seven appearances the Flyers are slated to make across NBC's national networks in the national broadcast schedule announced today by the NHL and NBC Sports.

The January 13 showdown is the first of four appearances the Flyers are scheduled to make on NBCSN's Wednesday Night Hockey. The Flyers will be featured twice in Sunday contests as part of the NHL on NBC lineup. The first comes in Washington on Sunday, Feb. 7, with the other set for a visit to Boston on Sunday, Feb. 21.

The final scheduled national appearance for the Flyers comes as part of Sunday Night Hockey on NBCSN. They will start the home stretch of the season when they welcome the New York Islanders on Sunday, April 18.
