The Canucks play their second of a four game home stand today that will also see visits from Dallas (Nov. 14) and Colorado (Nov. 16). Tonight's game is presented by Rogers.
The Canucks and Predators face off three times this season. The other two games will be played on Nov. 21 (road) and Feb. 10 (home).
Vancouver is 3-3-4 in their last 10 games vs Nashville (1-2-2 in the last 5).
MORNING SKATE UPDATE
The Canucks held an optional game day skate Tuesday morning, with just a handful of players taking part. Jay Beagle was among them after not practicing Monday. Beagle is a game-time call; he'll take warm-up and be evaluated prior to Coach Green making a decision about his availability. Coach Green discussed this, Thatcher Demko's seventh start of the season, and the Canucks rallying around Jacob Markstrom following the recent passing of his father, when he spoke to the media.

THE 700 CLUB
On Nov. 8/19 at WPG, Brandon Sutter appeared in his 700th career game, becoming the 105th active player to reach this feat. He also became the ninth player from the 2007 Draft class to reach 700 games and sixth member of the Sutter family to reach 700 or more games.
SEEING STARS
Elias Pettersson was named first star of the week (week ending Nov. 3). He collected three assists in a 7-2 victory over the Florida Panthers Oct. 28. He then registered 1-3-4, his third career four-point performance, in a 5-3 triumph vs LA Oct. 30. He added a pair of goals in a 5-2 win over the San Jose Sharks Nov. 2. The 20-year-old Sundsvall, Sweden, native ranks 6th in the NHL with 20 points.
HIGH OCTANE OCTOBER
Vancouver's goal production for the month of October saw a combined 45 goals scored (not including shootout), the third best October for goal scoring in team history. Only 1983.84 - 59 goals, 1989.90 - 49 goals and 1991.92 - 49 goals saw higher totals.
HIGH FIVE
Vancouver scored five-plus goals in four consecutive games (Oct. 22-30) - the 2nd time in 20 years. The last time the Canucks accomplished the feat was March 6-24/2000. An 8-game streak marks the club record when scoring five or more from Feb. 27-Mar. 21/1983 . The team recorded five third-period goals (Oct. 22/19 at DET) for the sixth time in franchise history and first since Apr. 15/93 at
LA. The franchise record for team goals in any period is six, accomplished on two occasions: Jan. 21/06 vs MTL and Jan. 16/87 vs CGY.
POWER PLAY PRODUCTION
The Canucks were powered by four power play goals in a 5-3 win over the Kings at the Staples Center on Oct. 30th, led by two goals on the man advantage from Brock Boeser. It marks the first time since Jan. 7th, 2012 that the team has scored four power play goals.
BOESER NETS THIRD CAREER HAT TRICK
Brock Boeser scored the third hat trick of his career on Oct. 30/19 in Los Angeles. With an added assist (3-1-4), Boeser recorded a four-point game for the fourth time in his NHL career. He is the fifth player in franchise history to have three or more three-goal games before the age of 23 (behind Pavel Bure - 5, Tony Tanti - 4).
MILLER SCORES 100+
JT Miller scored his 100th and 101st career goal vs Florida on Oct. 28/19 at Rogers Arena. Drafted 15th overall by the New York Rangers in 2011, Miller is the 14th member of his draft class to reach the 100 goal plateau and ranks 5th among his peers to reach the milestone in the fewest number of games at 446.
PRODUCTION FROM PETTERSSON
With three assists on Oct. 28/19, Elias Pettersson improved his career totals to 31-49-80 in 82 GP. Only Pavel Bure required fewer games to reach 80 points as a Canuck (49-31-80 in 80 GP).
HEAD OF THE CLASS
Bo Horvat collected his 100th career goal on Oct. 20/19 at NYR to become the 4th player from the 2013 NHL Draft to score 100 or more goals. Sean Monahan, Nathan MacKinnon and Aleksander Barkov are the three that have accomplished the feat to date. After recording his first career hat trick on Oct. 22/19 at DET, Horvat sits at 103 career goals. Of the 103 career goals, 28 have come on the power play, six shorthanded and 69 at even strength. The last time a Vancouver Canuck scored a hat trick against Detroit was Nov. 13/05 by Todd Bertuzzi.
YOUNG GUN
Quinn Hughes (19 years, 360 days) notched his first NHL goal Oct. 9 vs LA and became the youngest Canucks defenceman to find the back of the net since J.J Daigneault (19 years, 176 days) did so on April 6, 1985 at Los Angeles.
LIGHT THE LAMP
The Canucks tied a club record for goals in a home opener with 8 on Oct. 9/19 vs LA (the two previous times were Oct. 8/87 vs STL and Oct. 11/78 vs CLR). According to NHL PR, just three other teams in the last 10 years have scored eight or more goals in their home opener: Chicago (10; Oct. 5/17 vs PIT), Philadelphia (8; Oct. 14/17 vs WSH) and Toronto (8; Oct. 7/17 vs NYR). The last time the Canucks scored 8 goals in a game was Nov. 8/18 vs Boston, which ended in an 8-5 Canucks win.
