The Vancouver Canucks wrap up their three-game road trip with a Monday night matchup against the two-time defending Stanley Cup Champion Florida Panthers.
Monday’s game puts a bow on the Canucks’ fourth set of back-to-backs this season. The team comes into Monday’s game following scoring six unanswered goals against the Tampa Bay Lightning. Sunday’s game saw the team fall 2-0 early in the game, but they battled all the way back for a big win in the middle of their current road trip.
Canucks captain Quinn Hughes made a big splash in his return to the lineup after missing Friday’s game. Hughes picked up four assists in Sunday’s win and was excited to be back out there on the ice.

This was the third time Hughes had put up four assists in a single game; he last achieved this feat in November 2023, when he had a five-point night against the San Jose Sharks.

The Story: Impressive Runs by DeBrusk and Pettersson
Elias Pettersson and Jake DeBrusk have been feeling the scoring touch as of late.
Pettersson has had three consecutive multi-point games, a feat he has accomplished four times in his career. He has only had four multi-point games in a row once in his career and has an opportunity to do so on Monday with another 2+ point performance.
Jake DeBrusk has been lighting the lamp on the power play ever since he joined the Canucks. On Sunday, he notched his 20th power play goal with the team. Since the beginning of the 2024-25 season, DeBrusk has the second-most power play goals in the NHL, trailing only Leon Draisaitl, who has 22 of them.
