Vancouver, B.C. - The Canucks for Kids Fund is pleased to announce that the online 50/50 raffle to support COVID-19 relief generated $248,848 for important causes during the coronavirus pandemic. The organizations receiving funding support areas including community nourishment, mental health and children's support programming.

The total 50/50 raffle jackpot reached $497,695 on Saturday, April 11. The winning ticket ZE-2133495 was purchased by Melissa Pierre from Burns Lake, BC. Her heart-warming story is available here.

Funds raised from the COVID-19 relief 50/50 will go to the following organizations. Links are also included for fans who wish to donate more:

Food Banks BC($150,000) - Offers support to 100 food banks around BC. Their need is urgent, immediate and unprecedented due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

KidSafe($25,000) - Provides essential programs for hundreds of children in need of a safe place to spend their days. These funds will help provide grab-and-go food and supplies to families who are able to pick them up, as well as home deliveries for those who aren't. With school and community organization closures, kids are relying on KidSafe now more than ever.

Canadian Mental Health Association ($50,000) - CMHA Vancouver-Fraser, through the generosity of the Canucks for Kids Fund will be offering a digital version of our Here4Peers children and youth workshop, benefiting a larger community of families and children during quarantine measures.

Family Services of Greater Vancouver ($20,000) - Supports thousands of families and individuals across the Lower Mainland living in need, in crisis, or with trauma. The pandemic has increased the need for this critical organization.

The Canucks for Kids Fund dedicates resources to assist charities which support children's health and wellness, foster the development of grassroots hockey, and facilitate and encourage education in British Columbia.

Thanks to the generosity of our fans, donors, players, employees and sponsor partners, the Canucks for Kids Fund (CFKF) has granted $64 million to charities in British Columbia over the last 34 years.
