COLUMBUS, OH - Due to warm temperatures and expected rainfall over the next several days, Columbus Blue Jackets Winter Park, presented by Worthington Industries, will end its run today.
Winter Park, located across the street from Nationwide Arena at Columbus Recreation and Parks' McFerson Commons, was scheduled to conclude its run this season on Sunday.
"Given warmer than normal temperatures and the amount of rain expected during the rest of the week, we regrettably need to close Winter Park effective immediately," said Blue Jackets Vice President of Marketing J.D. Kershaw. "Unfortunately, the weather conditions have made it impossible to maintain the ice at the outdoor rink. We want to thank everyone who has come out and enjoyed and supported Winter Park this year."
