COLUMBUS, OH - The Columbus Blue Jackets announced today the schedule for daily public skating sessions at the NHL-size ice rink that will anchor Columbus Blue Jackets Winter Park presented by Worthington Industries at Columbus Recreation and Parks' McFerson Commons (across the street from Nationwide Arena) from Friday, February 2 through Sunday, February 25. Two days before the official opening, the Blue Jackets are scheduled to hold a team practice at the outdoor rink on Wednesday, January 31 at 12 p.m. (pending weather conditions). The practice will be free and open to the public.

Public skate admission will be $10 for adults and $5 for kids and includes skate rental. Purchases are cash-only when buying at Winter Park. Visitors may also purchase skate passes at the Big Lots Box Office at Nationwide Arena where cash and credit is accepted. Access to all sessions is first come, first served based on availability and the schedule is subject to change.
Spectators are invited to enjoy the skating or hockey action from outdoor bleachers or in the comfort of the Mad River Mountain Warming Lodge, a heated tent next to the rink.

Opening weekend festivities around Winter Park also include The 5th Line 5K Race presented by OhioHealth on Sunday, February 4. The 3.1-mile road race that starts outside Nationwide Arena and finishes across center ice is open to runners and walkers. For more information and registration, visit
