Alex is currently finishing seventh grade at Bexley Middle School, but when the Blue Jackets announced they were hosting special deliveries to teachers in honor of Teacher Appreciation Week, he knew just the teacher the team had to visit -- Mrs. Bidwell.
Back when Alex had her as his intervention specialist teacher in elementary school, he was embarrassed attending a special reading class, but Mrs. Bidwell made it fun with hockey. To help with reading, they would read CBJ articles and talk endlessly about the team.
It quickly became Alex's favorite class because of Mrs. Bidwell and her love of the Blue Jackets.
