Blue Jackets camp roster moves: Sept. 30

Four players assigned to AHL; three on waivers for purpose of assignment

COLUMBUS, OHIO - The Columbus Blue Jackets trimmed their training camp roster by seven players, club General Manager Jarmo Kekalainen announced today.

The following players were assigned to the Cleveland Monsters, the Blue Jackets' American League affiliate: 

Forwards Paul Bittner, Ryan Craig and Jordan Maletta as well as defenseman Blake Siebenaler. In addition, center Alex Broadhurst, left wing Brett Gallant and defenseman Jaime Sifers will be placed on waivers for the purpose of assignment to Cleveland.

The Blue Jackets, who are 2-2-0 in the preseason, return to action on Sunday when they host the Pittsburgh Penguins. Game time at Nationwide Arena is 4 p.m. ET. Columbus will next hold on and off-ice workouts from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday.
