LOS ANGELES--Joonas Donskoi scored the decisive goal in the shootout to help the Colorado Avalanche wrap up its weekend in Southern California with a 2-1 win at the Los Angeles Kings on Saturday night at Staples Center.
Avs goaltender Pavel Francouz made 15 saves in regulation, five in overtime and stopped all three Los Angeles shootout attempts to earn his third straight victory. Donskoi ended the contest in the third round of the tiebreaker.
Ryan Graves tied the game in the second period for the Avalanche, and Gabriel Landeskog and Ian Cole recorded assists on Graves' marker.
Austin Wagner tallied for the Kings on a penalty shot 4:47 into the game. Jonathan Quick made 30 saves

Colorado swept its fifth back-to-back set of the year after beating the Anaheim Ducks on Friday. The club has won a season-high six straight road games.

ROSTER REPORT
The Avalanche recalled forward Logan O'Connor from the American Hockey League's Colorado Eagles on Saturday, and he played in his eighth NHL game of the season. O'Connor, who began the contest on a line with Vladislav Kamenev and Sheldon Dries, was skating in his first outing with the Avs since Dec. 4 at Toronto… Goaltender Pavel Francouz made his fourth start in a row and played on consecutive nights for the first time in his career… Mark Barberio was a healthy scratch.

INJURY UPDATE

Andre Burakovsky was a late scratch due to an upper-body injury… A timeline for Philipp Grubauer's return from a lower-body injury has yet to be set… Matt Calvert (lower body), Nazem Kadri (lower body) and Mikko Rantanen (upper body) all remain out for a couple weeks… Colin Wilson (lower body) is continuing his rehab after have two surgeries earlier this season and has been doing off-ice training.

UP NEXT

The Avs have three days between games before hosting the Buffalo Sabres on Military Appreciation Night on Wednesday. After that, Colorado will not go more than a day between contests for the rest of the season, as they'll play 21 contests in the final 39 days.
