Two Colorado Avalanche prospects faced off Saturday night at Rogers Arena in a clash between Canada and the Czech Republic at the 2019 IIHF World Junior Championship. After briefly being tied, Team Canada scored four unanswered to pick up the 5-1 victory in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Three Canadian skaters had multi-point performances, as Morgan Frost contributed a goal and an assist while Ty Smith and Jack Studnicka each notched two helpers. Maxime Comtois, Brett Leason, Alexis LaFreniere and MacKenzie Entwistle also reached the back of the net in the win.

The Czech Republic (1-2-0, 2 points) closes out the preliminary round with a clash against Denmark (0-3-0, 0 points) on Monday afternoon. Team Canada (3-0-0, 9 points) has a perfect record entering Monday's pool-play finale against Russia (2-0-0, 6 points).
