Aaron Dell made 24 saves, and Danny O'Regan, Mikkel Boedker, Kevin Labanc and Brandon Bollig scored in the second period of a 5-0 win for the San Jose Sharks against the Anaheim Ducks in the preseason opener for each team at SAP Center.

Filip Sandberg scored in the first period. Barclay Goodrow and Tim Heed each had two assists.
Reto Berra made 31 saves for the Ducks.
