The NHL's traveling history Museum is making its way to Ottawa.

This Saturday June 10th, fans can catch the United by Hockey Mobile Museum at the Bell Sensplex from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The legacy of the NHL Black History Tour that traversed Canada and the United States in 2019, 2020, and 2022, the Mobile Museum serves to celebrate the trailblazers, changemakers, business leaders and collectors across underrepresented and multicultural demographics in hockey.

The museum offers fans the chance to see artifacts from a diverse group of players, such as the NHL's first black player, Willie O'Ree's shin and elbow pads. Additionally, fans can see Paul Kariya's 1996 World Championship jersey, and helmets worn by Ethan Bear and Auston Matthews, who represent players of Asian, Indigenous and Hispanic heritage who have played the game.

On top of the artifacts there will be a bevy of video components throughout the museum. Fans will have their chance to test their broadcasting abilities against hockey analyst and former goaltender, Kevin Weekes in an interactive broadcast booth experience.

Koizumi scored the first goal in NWHL/PHF history and now is an associate head coach for the University of Vermont NCAA Div I women's hockey team.

Along with Kozumi's stick, the museum features a game worn jersey from Julie Chu from when she played for the Minnesota Whitecaps of the Western Women's Hockey League. Additionally, there is a large photo of Sarah Nurse, cousin of Darnell Nurse, who helped Canada win the gold medal at the 2022 Winter Olympics.

The museum has been weaving around every NHL market since its debut at the NHL All-Star game in February and it concludes its tour this month. This iteration of the mobile museum is the most expansive in its history in telling the story of those trailblazers who have helped shape our game. It is free admission so be sure to seize the opportunity to come check out the museum during it's stop in Ottawa.

For those who attend the event the Ottawa Senators Street Team will be in attendance with some activations such as a hardest shot contest. Fans can also enter to win Senators giveaways.
