Get set for tonight's clash in Columbus with a look at the Sens' line-up notes, a recap of Ottawa's moves at the NHL Trade Deadline and more...

Line-up notes

With the Senators moving out a few roster players today prior to the NHL's Trade Deadline (more on that below), tonight's line-up is still in a bit of a state of flux. Some news we can pass along is that Thomas Chabot appears to be good to play this evening after exiting Saturday's game against the Canadiens with a lower body injury.
"I got saved by the boards a little bit," Chabot said about the hit he took that forced him out against Montreal. "I skated yesterday and then joined the boys on the trip feeling pretty good. Obviously, I wouldn't be here if we had any doubts that I wouldn't be able to play."
We could also see the return of Bobby Ryan tonight as well. Sens head coach D.J. Smith said that he believes there is a 90% chance that Ryan could be re-inserted into the line-up for the first time since entering the NHL/NHLPA player assistance program back in November.
"I knew that there was a possibility that the date could get moved forward to today," said Ryan after today's optional skate. "With what happened this morning, I guess it moves you a little bit forward but I was hoping to play one of these games on the road anyways."

Trade Deadline

The Sens made a few moves today prior to the NHL Trade Deadline including a big deal with the Islanders that will see up to 3 draft picks sent to Ottawa once all the conditions are sorted out in exchange for Jean-Gabriel Pageau. Vladislav Namestnikov and Tyler Ennis, who have been held out of the line-up recently, also returned mid-round draft picks in 2021 from the Avalanche and Oilers respectively.
Here's a look at all of the Sens' transactions today:

Previous Meeting

These teams last met in Ottawa back on Dec. 14th where Anthony Duclair's hat trick powered the Sens to a 4-3 overtime win against his former club. The Sens saw a 3-1 lead evaporate in the third period thanks to a late rally from the Blue Jackets but Duclair's power play tally in extra time proved to be the difference.
"He's a shooter and Duke's been good for us all year," Smith said of Duclair post-game. "He has certainly found his groove. I don't think it matters that it's against his old club; I don't think he's that kind of kid. I think he just wants to help his team."
