Michael Ilitch is a proven leader in the restaurant, sports and entertainment industries. Along with his wife, Marian, he grew one Little Caesars pizza restaurant into an international pizza chain with restaurants on four continents. Success in the pizza business for more than 50 years has allowed Ilitch to take advantage of other business opportunities.
In 1982, he and Marian purchased the struggling Red Wings and have turned the team into a Stanley Cup champion. During the Ilitch ownership, the team has won 16 divisional championships, six Presidents' Trophies, six Campbell Bowls and four Stanley Cups. The Red Wings have played postseason hockey for 22 consecutive years - the longest current streak in all of professional sports.
