Every year, the Detroit Red Wings partner with the Michigan Amateur Hockey Association to support on-ice hockey clinics introducing children to the sport of hockey throughout Michigan. For most participants, it's their first on-ice experience, introducing them to basic hockey skills such as skating, puck handling and shooting. MAHA and the Detroit Red Wings Foundation are growing the sport of hockey in Michigan by inviting children to local rinks to try hockey for free.
These complimentary hour-long clinics are for children ages 4-9 who are interested in trying hockey for the first time. All necessary equipment will be provided, so all you need is your enthusiasm for hockey and the willingness to try!
