The Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation proudly supports registered charitable organizations in Northern Alberta through 50/50 draws that take place during Edmonton Oilers home games.
Ticket pricing is one (1) ticket for $5.00, three (3) tickets for $10.00, and ten (10) tickets for $20.00 and can be purchased until the middle of the second intermission. One lucky fan will take home 50 per cent of the pot, but the other winners are the charitable organizations, minor hockey groups and the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation who benefit and help make our community a better place to live.
To be eligible to participate in the Edmonton Oilers 50/50 program, minor hockey and ringette associations MUST:
Be registered and in good standing with the Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission (AGLC) and must be eligible to receive gaming proceeds in accordance with AGLC policies,
Be an active and engaged group focused on fundraising for your association,
Be a willing and active partner with the Edmonton Oilers Hockey Club in supporting community initiatives throughout the year,
Supply between 57 to 60 volunteers for the allocated game night,
Commit volunteers to approximately five hours, arriving 2.5 hours prior to the start of the game and working into the third period of play.
Prior to the beginning of the season, the Executive Director or Volunteer Coordinator of all selected associations will be invited to attend an information session where more details about the program will be provided.
Participating minor hockey and ringette associations will receive a donation in exchange for providing volunteers to sell the 50/50 tickets. Groups will receive a base pay of $6,000 PLUS a commission of 25 per cent over $100,000 total sales! The more your volunteer group sells, the more your charitable group will receive!
*These proceeds may only be used for programs currently approved for by Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission.
Please be advised that if your association opts to travel to and from Rogers Place as a group via bus and/or passenger vans, we will once again offer transportation reimbursement up to $1,000.
2019-20 Application Information
The Oilers 50/50 draw is an exciting element of every Edmonton Oilers and Edmonton Oil Kings home game at Rogers Place. Applications to participate in the 50/50 program typically open each year in May for the upcoming regular season.
Due to COVID-19 pandemic and the current health crisis around the world, the NHL has paused the current 2019-20 season and there continues to be uncertainty as to when the season will resume and when the 2020-21 season will begin. Due to these uncertain times, the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation is not currently accepting 50/50 applications for the upcoming season.
Updates will be posted on the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation website once they are made available.
Please direct any program questions to email@example.com.
50/50 Ticket Information:
The winning ticket number will be announced over the public address system in Rogers Place during the third period of each of the 50/50 Licensed Games. In the case of a discrepancy between the announced number and the actual number appearing on the drawn ticket, the actual number appearing on the drawn ticket will be considered to be the valid winning ticket.
If the prize is not claimed during the Game, the winning ticket number will be posted on the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation website at www.oilersfoundation.ca.
The holder of the winning ticket will have until 4:00 p.m. (Mountain Time) two (2) business days from the time of the announcement to present the winning ticket to the 50/50 Licensee.
The holder of the winning ticket can present the winning ticket to a 50/50 Licensee representative who will be available at the Main Guest Services Centre on the main concourse of Rogers Place near Section 121 during the 50/50 Licensed Game or at the 50/50 Licensee's Head Office at 300, 10214 - 104 Avenue NW, Edmonton, Alberta, T5J 0H6 after the 50/50 Licensee Game.
All Prizes not claimed on or before the Prize Claim Expiry Date (two business days from the Raffle date), will be added to one or more prize pools at the discretion of the 50/50 Licensee, with AGLC approval. This means that any unclaimed Prizes will be redistributed by adding the amount to the Raffle of the designated 50/50 Licensed Game.
