The best way to spread hockey cheer is by singing loud for all to hear.

Caitlyn Guibord, 10, proved this once again by performing "Dzingel Bells," an Ottawa Senators holiday carol that appeared on the television broadcast of their game against the Detroit Red Wings on Friday.
'Dzingel Bells' Song
"This has been such a crazy ride," Caitlyn's father, Mitch Guibord, told NHL.com. "We were just goofing around writing a funny Christmas song about our favorite hockey team with hopes of local radio glory at best."
The song, titled for Senators forward Ryan Dzingel, references 14 Ottawa players and includes the chorus, "Dzingel Bells, Dzingel Bells, Dzingel breaks away. Oh what fun it is to play on a line with Matt Duchene. Dzingel Bells, Dzingel Bells, Dzingel breaks away. Oh what fun it is to go to a Senators game today" set to the tune of the holiday classic "Jingle Bells."
Caitlyn and Mitch co-wrote the song, coming up with the lyrics while traveling to her hockey practices and games in the Ottawa area. They initially had hopes of getting it played on their local sports talk radio station, but the video of Caitlyn singing took off after Craig Anderson's wife Nicholle retweeted Mitch's tweet at the Senators goalie.

"She loves singing along to her favorite songs in the car, especially before games," Mitch said. "We came up with the chorus and some lines for the verses over the past couple of weeks. We finished it on Thursday."
The Guibords are diehard Senators fans, and Caitlyn watches as much of their games on television before her bedtime. But because of their song, Mitch and Caitlyn will watch Ottawa's game against the Nashville Predators at Canadian Tire Centre on Monday after the radio station they were hoping to get on gave them tickets.
Caitlyn even got a shout out on social media from Duchene and forward Jean-Gabriel Pageau.
"We never thought it would spread so far or so quickly," Mitch told NHL.com. "We didn't even take the time to put any background music. Her friends and teammates think she's a star now."
