At 8:31 of the first period in the Rangers/Hurricanes game, the Situation Room initiated a video review to examine if Mika Zibanejad's shot at 8:24 crossed the Carolina goal line before Mats Zuccarello scored at 8:31. Video review confirmed that Zibanejad's shot did not cross the Carolina goal line. Therefore the referee's call on the ice stands - good goal New York at 8:31.
