From Daniel's incredible between-the-legs goal against the Flames to countless magical shifts in the offensive zone, the Sedin twins dazzled with their creativity and playmaking. Here is the best of the best.

There will never be anyone quite like the Sedin twins.
Since being selected by the Canucks in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft, Daniel and Henrik Sedin won over Vancouver with their incredible work ethic, class and prestige. While their terrific actions off the ice and humble personalities shape their legacy, their incredible play throughout their 17-season NHL careers solidifies them as two of the greatest talents the game of hockey will ever see.
The identical twins showcased tremendous skill and talent throughout their time in Vancouver, playing their entire careers for the team that drafted them. They factored in on the same goal 744 times and each secured an Art Ross Trophy. With more than 1,000 games each and more than 1,000 points each, their remarkable journey has come to end.
From Daniel's incredible between-the-legs goal against the Flames to countless magical shifts in the offensive zone, the Sedin twins dazzled with their creativity and playmaking. Here are five of their best moments to commemorate their incredible careers:

First NHL Goals (10/08/2000) & (10/16/2000)

The Swedish twins made their NHL debuts in the 2000-01 season and it didn't take long for them to make an impact. Daniel scored his first career goal against the Lightning on October 8th, 2000, while Henrik netted his first career goal just three games later against the Maple Leafs. It only makes sense that the first goal in Sedin history was Daniel from Henrik. With the Canucks trailing the Lightning 4-3 in the third period, Henrik came out with the puck from behind the goal line and spotted his brother with a perfect cross-ice pass. Daniel would beat goaltender Dan Cloutier for his first-ever NHL goal, while Henrik would re-direct a puck past Curtis Joseph for his first tally. Daniel scored 20 goals in his debut campaign and would reach that plateau in 11 of his NHL seasons, while Henrik recorded at least 20 assists in all 17 of his NHL campaigns.

"The Shift" (10/13/07 & 10/15/16)

They always seemed to know where the other was going to be. The Sedin twins built their reputation on the ice with incredible chemistry and a terrific cycle game that exhausted opponents. There might have not been a more dominant sequence than one we saw in a game against the Oilers in 2007. With Vancouver leading Edmonton 1-0 in the second period, the Canucks received a power play and the Sedin twins were called upon. The twins ran a clinic in Edmonton's zone, cycling the puck for over two minutes before Daniel eventually scored. The twins followed up with another very similar shift against the Flames nine years later. Their puck possession and elite playmaking skills led to sheer offensive dominance throughout their careers. Henrik concluded his career sitting 65th in all-time scoring with 1,070 points, while Daniel finished in 73rd place with 1,041 points.

D.Sedin scores between-the-legs goal vs. Flames (04/10/10)

With a playoff berth already secured, the Sedin twins put on a spectacular show in their final game of the 2009-10 regular season against the Flames. Daniel Sedin recorded a hat trick, while brother Henrik dished out four assists to propel Vancouver to a commanding 7-3 victory. The game was highlighted by a sensational goal in the third period that helped Henrik secure the first Art Ross Trophy in Canucks franchise history. With Daniel needing a single goal to complete his hat trick, Henrik took a blueline pass at the faceoff dot and made a terrific no-look tip pass to his brother down low. Daniel immediately took the puck to the net, evading a poke check and scoring on an incredible between-the-legs move to complete his hat trick. Henrik finished the season with a franchise-record 112 points, while Daniel would win the Art Ross Trophy the following year with 104 points.

1,000 NHL points (01/20/17) & (11/30/17)

Considering they do everything together, it's only fitting that both Henrik and Daniel Sedin reached the 1,000 point milestone before retiring. Henrik notched his 1,000th career NHL point in a game against the Panthers in January of 2017, while Daniel hit the mark less than a year later in a game against the Predators. Henrik's 1,000th point was especially significant, as the captain beat ex-Canuck Roberto Luongo for the goal and was then congratulated by his former teammate. It was a great display of sportsmanship from Luongo, who spent almost eight years in Vancouver with the twins. Daniel's 1,000th point came in a win over Nashville after he took a pass from rising star Brock Boeser and wired a shot past netminder Pekka Rinne. With Daniel and Henrik each reaching the coveted milestone, the Sedin twins became the first pair of brothers to both reach the 1,000th point mark in the NHL.

Henrik sets up Daniel for OT winner in Sedins' Vancouver farewell (04/05/18) "Henrik to Daniel".

It's a phrase that became a staple for all Canucks fans. And they would get to hear it one last time. Just days after announcing they would be retiring from the NHL, the Sedin twins took to the ice against the Coyotes at Rogers Arena for the final home game of their careers. You couldn't have scripted a better ending. After Daniel scored his 22nd goal of the season in the second period off a pass from his brother at the 33-second mark, the Swedish twins would combine for one more sensational play. With the Canucks on the power play in overtime, Henrik feathered a pass to Daniel, who wired home the winner for a storybook ending. Daniel scored a whopping 86 overtime-winning goals over his career, so it's only fitting his time in Vancouver ended in clutch fashion.
