Status report

Tampa Bay starts a season-high eight-game road trip. …Niederreiter is out until after the NHL All-Star break (Jan. 27-28). Minnesota recalled Rau from Iowa of the American Hockey League on Friday. The Wild are returning from a mandatory five-day break.
