The Vegas Golden Knights forward had to laugh at himself during an intermission interview where "Hockey Night in Canada" reporter Scott Oake brought up a recent social media post form Reaves' wife, Alanna.
Oake and Reaves have a history, of course. Reaves grew up with Oake's son in Winnipeg and playfully chided him on-air during the 2018 Western Conference Final about rooting for the Winnipeg Jets.
This time around, Oake expertly led Reaves into a discussion about playing with confidence before bringing up the video in question.
"What message are you trying to send here?" Oake asks.
The video cuts to Reaves saying "That's fresh," and "You are a bad, bad man," many times, seemingly to someone off camera... until it is revealed Reaves is talking into a mirror.
Reaves, always the humorist, laughed it off and, as is becoming custom, tussled Oake's hair and kissed his head before heading back to the locker room.
