There are four games on the NHL schedule for Monday. Here are five things to watch, along with the complete game schedule.

Home cooking

The New York Rangers will try to stay perfect on home ice against the Anaheim Ducks at Madison Square Garden (7 p.m. ET; FOXLA+, Prime Video, MSG), where they are 5-0-0 this season. However, New York (6-3-1) has lost its past two games -- 7-1 at the New Jersey Devils on Thursday and 1-0 in overtime at the Columbus Blue Jackets on Saturday. The Rangers have outscored their opponents 24-8 in their five home games, including 10-1 in the third period. The Ducks (4-3-0) have also lost their past two games, each by a 4-2 margin against the Calgary Flames and Boston Bruins, despite having leads in each. Forward Beckett Sennecke scored in each and has five goals this season. Anaheim is starting a four-game East Coast road trip.

Top picks in Toronto

The top two picks in the 2026 NHL Draft will meet for the first time when Gavin McKenna and the Toronto Maple Leafs (3-4-2) host Ivar Stenberg and the San Jose Sharks (4-3-1) at Scotiabank Arena (7:30 p.m. ET; TVAS, SN+, NBCSCA). McKenna went No. 1 to Toronto and Stenberg went No. 2 to San Jose in June. Each has made an impact in the first month of their NHL careers. Stenberg has six points (two goals, four assists) in eight games, including a power-play goal and an assist in a 4-3 shootout loss at the Detroit Red Wings on Saturday. McKenna has five points (two goals, three assists) in nine games. If each gets on the score sheet, it would be the sixth time in the past 20 years that the first and second picks from the same draft class had a point in their first game against each other. This game features three No. 1 picks, including Toronto forward Auston Matthews (2016), and San Jose center Macklin Celebrini (2024). It's also the first time McKenna and Celebrini will face each other in the NHL. They trained together in the offseason.

Multipoint plan

Nathan MacKinnon looks for his seventh multipoint game this season with the Colorado Avalanche (5-2-1), who visit the Philadelphia Flyers (1-6-3) at Xfinity Mobile Arena (7 p.m. ET; NBCSP, ALT). MacKinnon, who is tied for the NHL multipoint lead with Edmonton Oilers center Connor McDavid, is coming off a four-point game (one goal, three assists) in a 5-2 win against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Friday. MacKinnon is tied for third in the League with 16 points (six goals, 10 assists). The Flyers won for the first time in 10 games this season on Saturday, 3-1 against the Ottawa Senators.

Crosby eyeing another record

Sidney Crosby will become the NHL's all-time leader in assists with a single franchise if he gets two for the Penguins at the Utah Mammoth (9 p.m. ET; Mammoth+, Utah16, SN-PIT, SN+, TVAS). Crosby has 1,110 assists with the Penguins since 2005-06. Ray Bourque had 1,111 with the Boston Bruins. Crosby is also two points away from becoming the eighth player in NHL history to record 800 points on the road. He scored a goal in Pittsburgh's 6-2 loss at the Vegas Golden Knights on Saturday, giving him 798 road points (306 goals, 492 assists). The Penguins (3-5-1), meanwhile, are trying to avoid being swept on a four-game road trip; they also lost 5-3 at the Chicago Blackhawks on Tuesday and 5-2 at Colorado on Friday.

Is it Cossa’s turn?

Sebastian Cossa is expected to start for Utah against Pittsburgh, his first since being pulled in the first period of a 6-1 loss at Boston on Oct. 8, when he allowed three goals on eight shots. He relieved Karel Vejmelka on Saturday, when the Mammoth (6-3-0) lost 6-2 to the Oilers. Cossa allowed one goal on four shots. It would be Cossa’s first start at home this season. He made 18 saves in a 4-1 win at the Columbus Blue Jackets on Oct. 3. Nick Schmaltz needs two points to become the second player to record at least 150 points with the Mammoth. Captain Clayton Keller has 189.
