TAMPA BAY - The Tampa Bay Lightning have recalled forwards Joel Vermin and Michael Bournival from the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League today, vice president and general manager Steve Yzerman announced Wednesday.

Vermin, 5-foot-11, 192 pounds, has played in 17 games with the Crunch this season, recording six goals and 11 points to go along with four power play goals. He is tied for the Syracuse lead for goals, is first for power-play goals and is fifth for points. He has played in six career NHL games, all with Tampa Bay last season, notching one assist.
A native of Bern, Switzerland, Vermin was drafted by the Lightning in the seventh round, 186th overall, of the 2013 NHL Draft.
Bournival, 5-11, 198 pounds, has skated in 17 games with Syracuse this season, registering five goals and 11 points, including one shorthanded goal. He ranks tied for fifth on the Crunch for points and is tied for fourth for goals and assists. Bournival has played in 89 career NHL games, all with the Montreal Canadiens during the 2013-14 and 2014-15 seasons. He has recorded 10 career goals and 19 points.
A native of Shawinigan, Quebec, Bournival was signed by Tampa Bay as a free agent on July 1, 2016.
