Gabriel Landeskog scored in the final minute of overtime to give the Colorado Avalanche a 2-1 win against the Arizona Coyotes at Ball Arena on Wednesday.
The Avs held a 46-14 edge in shots on goal in the contest, the 14th consecutive game that they have limited the opposition to less than 30 shots.
Brandon Saad opened the game's scoring with his ninth tally of the year 1:23 into the outing, while Philipp Grubauer made 13 saves. Andre Burakovsky and Devon Toews assisted on Saad's marker, and Samuel Girard had the helper on the game-winner.

Nick Schmaltz scored for the Coyotes while goalie Antti Raanta made 44 saves.

ROSTER REPORT

Nathan MacKinnon returned to the lineup and skated on a line with Gabriel Landeskog and Mikko Rantanen. Tyson Jost centered a unit with Valeri Nichushkin and Joonas Donskoi, while the trio of Brandon Saad, Nazem Kadri and Andre Burakovsky and the Matt Calvert-Pierre-Edouard Bellemare-Logan O'Connor combination stayed the same. Colorado also made a slight change on its defense with Ryan Graves and Devon Toews being paired together to begin the outing, and Dan Renouf and Greg Pateryn also serving as a defensive duo. Philipp Grubauer made his 20th start of the season.

INJURY UPDATE

Forward J.T. Compher and defenseman Dennis Gilbert, who are both out with upper-body injuries, were non-contact participants in morning skate. Compher has missed three games and is day-to-day while Gilbert is recovering from surgery he needed after his last outing on Feb. 16. Young blueliners Bowen Byram, Cale Makar and Conor Timmins are all day-to-day with upper-body injuries, while defenseman Erik Johnson (upper body) and goaltender Pavel Francouz (lower body) remain out long term.
