LOS ANGELES -- Goaltender Jonathan Quick was placed on injured reserve by the Los Angeles Kings on Sunday.

Quick, 32, sustained a lower-body injury in practice Saturday. The Kings did not announce a timetable for his return.
Quick allowed three goals on 33 shots in a 3-2 overtime loss to the San Jose Sharks on Friday. He went 33-28-3 with a 2.40 goals-against average and .921 save percentage last season.
Jack Campbell will start in goal against the Detroit Red Wings at Staples Center on Sunday (10:30 p.m. ET; FS-W, FS-D, NHL.TV). Campbell, 26, went 2-0-2 with a 2.48 GAA and .924 save percentage in four starts for Los Angeles last season.
"I think we feel good about Jack. He came in last year in some tough situations and was probably the reason we got a point at Winnipeg late in the year on the road trip," Kings coach John Stevens said. "He works hard, reads the game well, good communicator, so we're confident he can step in and do the job."
Peter Budaj was recalled from Ontario of the American Hockey League on Sunday. The 36-year-old goalie started 51 games for the Kings in 2016-17 after Quick sustained a groin injury in the season opener and went 27-20-3 with a 2.12 GAA and .917 save percentage. He was traded to the Tampa Bay Lightning when Quick recovered. After backing up Andrei Vasilevskiy for eight games with the Lightning last season, the Kings re-acquired Budaj in a trade on June 13.
