Dylan Larkin was named the NHL first star for the week ending Dec. 19, and though the Detroit Red Wings captain's seven points (five goals, two assists) on the ice earned him the honor, his best assist may have come before a game.

Larkin felt so bad after accidentally knocking over a fan's beer during warmups of Detroit's 2-1 win against the New York Islanders on Dec. 14 at Little Caesers Arena,

.
It all started when Larkin banged into the glass behind the Red Wings net, causing the fan's drink on the other side to spill. Larkin skated over to the Detroit bench, asked locker room attendant Rick Szuber to go get $20 from his locker and deliver it to the fan, which Szuber did.
Luckily, Larkin was mic'd up, so the whole scene could be seen and heard.
Larkin then delivered on the ice, scoring the first goal of the game.
This one's for you, Dylan.
