Kuznetsov suspended one game for high-sticking

NEW YORK - - Washington Capitals forward Evgeny Kuznetsov has been suspended for one game, without pay, for high-sticking Vancouver Canucks defenseman Kyle Burroughs during NHL Game No. 43 in Washington on Monday, Oct. 17, the National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety announced today.

The incident occurred at 16:40 of the second period. Kuznetsov was assessed a minor penalty for high-sticking.
Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement and, based on his average annual salary, Kuznetsov will forfeit $42,162.16. The money goes to the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund.
