Situation Room Initiated Challenge: BUF @ MTL - 19:27 of the Third Period

At 19:27 of the third period in the Sabres/Canadiens game, the Situation Room initiated a review under the terms of a Coach's Challenge to examine whether Buffalo interfered with Canadiens goaltender Carey Price prior to Evander Kane's goal.

After reviewing all available replays and consulting with NHL Hockey Operations staff, the Referee determined that Buffalo's Sam Reinhart made contact with Price before the puck crossed the goal line, preventing Price from doing his job in the crease.
Therefore the original call is overturned - no goal Buffalo Sabres.
