Victor Hedman left early in the second period of Tampa Bay's contest in Vegas against the Golden Knights due and will not return to the game.

The defending Norris Trophy winner sustained a hit into the boards from Vegas' Ryan Reaves on a Lightning power play and skated off the ice, heading straight down the tunnel to the locker room.
Hedman's status moving forward is currently unknown.
Hedman entered the Vegas game with two goals and two assists in eight contests this season. Hedman paces the Lightning for average time on ice (22:30) and is tied for the Tampa Bay lead for blocked shots (16).
Tampa Bay is looking to extend its point streak to seven games in Vegas but will have to do so without its top defenseman.
