February 5, 2010 - Jeff's journey begins
On this date, Tampa Bay Sports and Entertaiment, LLC, owned by Jeff Vinik, agreed to purchase the Bolts, the St. Pete Times Forum and land in the Channelside district.
February 6, 1993 - The inaugural season's All-Star
Brian Bradley became the first Bolt to skate in an All-Star game, representing Tampa Bay at the 1993 game held in Montreal. Bradley would go on to set Bolts records for goals and points in a season that wouldn't be broken until the mid-2000s.

February 9, 2010 - Marty's final shorty
Martin St. Louis scored twice in a 3-1 win over the Cancuks. His game-winner marked the 28th shorthanded goal of his Lightning career, setting a franchise record that has yet to be matched.
February 10, 2002 - Feaster takes over as GM
In the middle of the 2001-2002 season, the Bolts named Jay Feaster as their new general manager. Feaster would go on to build teams that reached the playoffs in four consecutive seasons and lifted the Stanley Cup in 2004.
