TAMPA BAY - The Tampa Bay Lightning will be hosting the "2021 Bolts Chel Challenge" with registrations live as of 12 p.m. on May 6, 2021. Due to circumstances around the continuing COVID-19 pandemic, this year's tournament will take place exclusively online.

Participants will be split into two brackets: one for European and one for North American contestants. European contestants will compete in NHL 21 on PlayStation 4/5 in a 1-on-1 format with the online qualifying being a double elimination bracket moderated by official tournament organizer, League Gaming. North American contestants will compete in NHL 21 on Xbox One/Series X in a 1-on-1 format with the online qualifying being a double elimination bracket also moderated by League Gaming.
European qualifying will be the weekend of May 22 - 23, 2021 while the North American qualifying will take place between May 22 - June 13, 2021. The final four participants of each bracket will compete in a final showdown on June 18 (European bracket) and June 19 (North American bracket) with the action streamed LIVE on

. Each regional Finals will feature live best-of-three matches with the winners taking home $5,000 each. Finals stream commentary will be provided by Cam "No Sleeves" Halbert and Wayne Cafariella from Rare Drop, the Official Content Partners of Bolts Gaming.
